Royal Scotland

Scotland is a land filled with legend and romance. Enjoy luxury country manors while you visit castles, prehistoric ruins, medieval abbeys, unspoiled highlands and magnificent coastlines. In Edinburgh, stroll the Royal Mile, once reserved for royalty only. Perhaps even greet the monster at Loch Ness. From museums to legends and castles to scenery, Royal Scotland is a tour filled with spectacular splendor!

Day 1: Edinburgh

Arrive, Edinburgh. Visit Edinburgh Castleand see the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Take time to stroll down the Royal Mile, a street lined with shops, pubs and restaurants. (Balmoral Hotel,2-Nights)


Day 2: Edinburgh

Drive north to St. Andrews via Falkland Palace and Gardens. See Holy Trinity Church, and St. Andrews Cathedral.


Day 3: Inverness, Loch Garten

Today drive north to the city of Inverness. Visit Perth and the Palace of Scone, Pitlochry and Blair Castle, Loch Garten and Cairngorm Mountain. (Culloden House, 2-Nights)


Day 4: Inverness, Loch Garten

Tour the surrounding area including the Culloden Battlefield site, Clava Cairns, Cawdor and Brodie Castles and the Dallas Dhu Distillery.


Day 5: The Isle of Skye

Travel south via Loch Ness, include a visit to Urquhart Castle and see the Five Sisters of Kintail and the romantic Eileen Donan Castle. (Duisdale House, 2-Nights)


Day 6: The Isle of Skye

Explore Skye, with its famous rugged Cuillins and Quiraing Mountains. Visit the Talisker Whisky Distillery and Dunvegan Castle, take a boat trip to the seal rocks or spend a leisurely afternoon at one of the local museums.


Day 7: Loch Lomond

Drive south via the Mallaig car ferry and the Glenfinnan Memorial to Bonnie Prince Charlie, to Fort William, dominated by Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. (Culcreuch Castle, 2-Nights)


Day 8: Loch Lomond

Explore the lovely Trossachs and take a ride on the Lake Steamer, walk part of the West Highland way skirting the loch, drive to Stirling and visit the Castle.


Day 9: Depart Scotland

Drive to Edinburgh or Glasgow airport, return your car and fly home.
